Rescue Grounds
Coffee Company
More than a cup of coffee — it's a cup of freedom.
Our Mission
Awareness, Employment, and Freedom
Rescue Grounds Coffee Company is Magdalene Hope's social enterprise venture designed to raise awareness about sex trafficking while giving survivors the ability to earn a dignified living.
We opened our first location on January 27, 2017 at Memorial Hospital in Bakersfield, California in partnership with Dignity Health. We are now operating out of a truck generously given to us by Ron Honn, founder of New Origins Men's Rehabilitation Center.
Every purchase directly supports victims and survivors of human trafficking and the daily operations of the Bakersfield Women's Center.
What We Stand For
More Than Coffee
Every cup served by Rescue Grounds is a step toward justice, awareness, and restoration for women impacted by trafficking.
Ethically Sourced Coffee
All coffee and tea is ethically sourced through vendors and purchased from farms that our distributor and partners have personally visited — including offerings from Korn Koffee, Bakersfield Roasting Company, and Lavazza.
Dignified Employment
Rescue Grounds Coffee Company gives survivors of sex trafficking the opportunity to earn a dignified living — working alongside the mission, not just being served by it.
Every Cup Counts
All proceeds go towards combating sex trafficking, offsetting daily costs to run the Bakersfield Women's Center, and aiding victims and survivors of sex trafficking with whom we work.
The Rescue Grounds Coffee Company truck — bringing community awareness and great coffee wherever we go.
